Facial Fillers

Overtime the face naturally loose plumpness and wrinkles can often deepen. Facial fillers can help with adding lost volume, smoothing facial wrinkles, filling scars or incidents.

How does it work?

At The Beauty Medics we use the marketing leading facial filler Juvederm. Which is a naturally occurring hyaluronic acid gel which when injected into the face can soften wrinkles and plump out scars and indents.

What areas are typically treated?

Usually facial fillers are used on the cheeks, nose, forehead and around the mouth.

What does the treatment involve?

This treatment involves small quantities of filler to be injected into wrinkles and scars. The discomfort is minimal and local anesthetic as well as topical anesthetic is used to minimize pain and swelling.

How long should the treatment last?

The current recommendation by the manufacturer is that Juverderm Filler depending on where it is injected can last between 6-9 months. However all individuals are different and some patients can experience early breakdown of the filler.

How long will it take to recover?

The downtime for this procedure is between 48-72 hours.

How long do the results last?

Depending on the area injected the results typically last between 6-12 months.

Are there any side effects or complications?

An individual’s choice to undergo a procedure is based on the comparison of the risk to potential benefit. Although the majority of patients do not experience these complications, you should discuss each of them with your practitioner to make sure you understand the risks, potential complications, and consequences of dermal filler injections:
